Embracing Voters, Gaining Presidency:The 4 Ps Model in the New Era

Abstract: The researcher brings an old model in the new era; he aims at applying the traditional 4 Ps of marketing in political marketing (Product, Price, Place, and Promotion) by measuring their impact on Presidential candidates’ political performance. It was hypothesized that each one of the 4 Ps is positively related to the achievement of superior political performance. Data collected from 160 Greek Cypriot voters, a few days before Cyprus’ 2018 Presidential elections. Further to hypothesis testing, the study examines the relationship between the 4 Ps and political performance in specific groups with an aim to give politicians, political candidates, political marketers, and political advisers a valuable tool to build their political marketing strategies on the 4 Ps’ voting behavior. Several implications and interesting directions for future research are also provided in this paper.
