How to Make Employees Stay in a Company

Abstract: Employee has a crucial role in company. Knowledge that employee has is the big asset that company have.  Problem will appear if their employee has intention to leave or even leave the company, the knowledge of employee has will be leaving to. Then it will effect employee satisfaction for being a member of the company. This phenomenon has become a primary concern in many organizations. The purpose of this paper is to examine the literature relating how to make employee stay in a company. Based on review of the literature that has been studied, it can be concluded that the determinants of employee retention are compensation, training and development, flexibility of working and organizational culture.

Entrepreneur’s Characteristics Across Culture

Abstract:

Purpose –  So many culture in West Java for entrepreneur. Entrepreneurship and innovation are vital forces in explaining the development of  business of economy in general. The purpose of this paper is to cluster characteristics  entrepreneur based on culture for  the development of business,

Design/methodology – Using exploratory research to know characteristic and motivation entrepreneur accros culture. Survey method is used to see the differences of characteristics. Lastly, ANOVA analysis was then used to examine the differences among the subject in terms of their characteristics and motivation entrepreneur acrross culture.

Findings, As expected, the result shows that entrepreneur shared similar characteristics but also and those differences were found in their development of business.

Research Limitation/implication – data were collected using  Judgment sampling method and in that method there are regulation that restrict the distribution of questionnaires.

Practical implications – one important implication of our findings is that, the differences of characteristics Entrepreneur across culture. Another practical implication is to see how entrepreneur develop their business in to becoming success entrepreneur.

Originality/value – various studies have focused on the development of business from different perspective, but  this research investigated what are the differences characteristic and motivation entrepreneur to the development of business.

Shaping the Noble Character of Bankers through Character Building for Students of Finance and Banking at a Diploma Level

Abstract: Shariah Bank is the bank that operates based on the principles of Al Quran and Hadiths. Thus, all process and human resources should be based on the two sources and have the characteristics of noble character. However, recent case of ethics violation in banking indicated that the noble character has not been totally implemented in shariah banking. Various problems such as fraud, corruption, and fictional funding still occur in shariah banking. This article discusses the strategy conducted by Finance and Banking Department in Diploma 3, Universitas Islam Indonesia to nurture future banker with noble characters to support the goal of building shariah banking with reliable human resources.

Influence of Total Quality Management and Innovation on the Performance of Higher Education Institutions: A Case of Studied Institutions in Bandung

Abstract: The level of competition in education management in Bandung is quite firm. This is shown by the number of private higher education institution in Bandung which comprises 121 institutes. They manage some efforts to provide best facilities to increase the number of students.

This research is aimed at finding out factors influencing TQM and Innovation On performance. Questionnaire was used in order to gain primary data from the respondend and the method was using path analysis. Probability sampling technique was chosen due to the consideration of big reasonable population amount.

The result of this research is The influence of TQM and innovation towards the performance of higher education institution was simultaneously as much as 73,7%. Partially, the influence of TQM is as much as 1,6% while for innovation is 78%.This result is fit with the research conducted by Vas Prabhuet.al., concluding that there is simultaneous influence of TQM and innovation towards performance of higher education institution.

Analysis of Earning Management and Board Diversity in Companies Listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2014

Abstract: Earning management is managerial activities to influence and intervene in the financial statements. Many factors is motivated management to do earning  management and also many ways that can be used by management in making earning management. Board diversity is one factor that influence practice earning management.  Aims this  study  is  determine how to practices  the earning management  in companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange period of 2014 and examine whether there are significant differences in earning management practice related with difference in board diversity.

Population in this study is companies list on Indoensia Stock Exchange in 2014. Determination of the number of samples with the formula solvin  while determining the sampleis  using random sample. The research data is secondary data obtained from idx.statistics and the annual report.  Number of samples is 69 companies from a population of 349 companies. The method used in this research is descriptive and comparative methods. Analysis of data using simple regression to determine the discretionary accrual and test different with Anova.

The results showed that 98,55%  firms perform earning management practices in 2014 by raising and lowering profits. Proportion of firm perform earning management practices by raising profits is greater than by lowering profits. And there are no significant differences in earning management practices in companies listed on the Stock Exchange in 2014 that have woman director, woman commissioner and foreign ethnics and which are not. This information can be taken into consideration for the users of financial statements before making a decision.

Abstract:In the context of regional autonomy, local governments will have a strategic role associated with the growth and development of industries in the area. The role of government as a regulator and facilitator must be conducted properly and balanced. Cimahi city that has a lot of resources are required to develop a strategy for the sustainability of the industry.  The Objectives of this study are (1) analyzing of the industry structure Cimahi (2) Making development strategy of industrial policy direction. The methods used in this study are Input-Output Analysis and SWOT analysis. The Strategies that needed by Cimahi in order to improve its industry are 1). strengthening the seed sector: ease of licensing, support infrastructure, incentives; 2). Improving the quality of human resources tailored to key sectors; 3). Looking for a foreign investor as a partner of local entrepreneurs; 4). Repairing the supply chain to be more efficient; 5). Encouraging the growth of the industry supporting key sectors; 6). Promoting the development of the upstream industry / Raw Materials; 7). Encouraging enhanced alternative modes of transportation; 8). Encourage increased domestic production; 9). Strengthening the upstream industry/ availability of local raw materials

Understanding and Tax Compliance of the Rural and Urban Land and Building Owners

Abstract: Rural and Urban Land and Building Tax (PBB P2) is a taxes that are managed by the local government (district/town) and became one own source of revenue (PAD).  The need of understanding and compliance of taxpayer in tax collection, so that all taxpayers are expected to carry out its obligation under the applicable regulations.

The purpose of this research was to determine the level of understanding and Compliance Tax payer to Rural and Urban Land and Building Tax (PBB P2). PBB P2 is a tax collected each year by the local government, in accordance with Local Taxation and Charges (PDRD). Amount of tax payable has been calculated and determined by the City / Regency in Indonesia (official assessment). This causes a lack of awareness about the PBB P2 in detail, not even learn and understand the laws relating to the PBB P2, such as survey results in one of the villages in the city of Bandung. They argue that the PBB P2 is a tax that has been calculated by the local government, so it is no longer needed understanding of computation. However, the level of compliance is high enough community, namely to pay Rural and Urban Land and Building Tax (PBB P2)before maturity. Tax revenue of Rural and Urban Land and Building Tax (PBB P2) from year to year has increased, and become a source of local revenue Local Government.

Abstract: In this study the problem under study is given to employee compensation is not in accordance with the workload, responsibilities and job performance of employees insurance, health care and welfare of their employees are still lacking, System pattern clearly is not regulated information career development opportunities are not open to every employee. Respondents this study were all employees’ PT Pos Indonesia Bandung Area Y.

This research aims to analyze the impact of Compensation and Career Development toward Job Satisfication instrument used to obtain the data. To test validity, this research uses factor analysis and to test the reliability uses standard of apha 0,6. Linear regression is used as analysis method. To test the influence of variable partially uses significancy test as 5 percent, Object of this research is the official employee at PT Pos Indonesia Area Y of Bandung  with 85 peoples as population and used census with the result all population become a sample.

From the result of research that career development and compensation has good enough relationshipand simultanously to the job satisfaction.
