Abstract: Employee has a crucial role in company. Knowledge that employee has is the big asset that company have.  Problem will appear if their employee has intention to leave or even leave the company, the knowledge of employee has will be leaving to. Then it will effect employee satisfaction for being a member of the company. This phenomenon has become a primary concern in many organizations. The purpose of this paper is to examine the literature relating how to make employee stay in a company. Based on review of the literature that has been studied, it can be concluded that the determinants of employee retention are compensation, training and development, flexibility of working and organizational culture.

Entrepreneur’s Characteristics Across Culture

Abstract:

Purpose –  So many culture in West Java for entrepreneur. Entrepreneurship and innovation are vital forces in explaining the development of  business of economy in general. The purpose of this paper is to cluster characteristics  entrepreneur based on culture for  the development of business,

Design/methodology – Using exploratory research to know characteristic and motivation entrepreneur accros culture. Survey method is used to see the differences of characteristics. Lastly, ANOVA analysis was then used to examine the differences among the subject in terms of their characteristics and motivation entrepreneur acrross culture.

Findings, As expected, the result shows that entrepreneur shared similar characteristics but also and those differences were found in their development of business.

Research Limitation/implication – data were collected using  Judgment sampling method and in that method there are regulation that restrict the distribution of questionnaires.

Practical implications – one important implication of our findings is that, the differences of characteristics Entrepreneur across culture. Another practical implication is to see how entrepreneur develop their business in to becoming success entrepreneur.

Originality/value – various studies have focused on the development of business from different perspective, but  this research investigated what are the differences characteristic and motivation entrepreneur to the development of business.

Abstract: Shariah Bank is the bank that operates based on the principles of Al Quran and Hadiths. Thus, all process and human resources should be based on the two sources and have the characteristics of noble character. However, recent case of ethics violation in banking indicated that the noble character has not been totally implemented in shariah banking. Various problems such as fraud, corruption, and fictional funding still occur in shariah banking. This article discusses the strategy conducted by Finance and Banking Department in Diploma 3, Universitas Islam Indonesia to nurture future banker with noble characters to support the goal of building shariah banking with reliable human resources.

Influence of Total Quality Management and Innovation on the Performance of Higher Education Institutions: A Case of Studied Institutions in Bandung

Abstract: The level of competition in education management in Bandung is quite firm. This is shown by the number of private higher education institution in Bandung which comprises 121 institutes. They manage some efforts to provide best facilities to increase the number of students.

This research is aimed at finding out factors influencing TQM and Innovation On performance. Questionnaire was used in order to gain primary data from the respondend and the method was using path analysis. Probability sampling technique was chosen due to the consideration of big reasonable population amount.

The result of this research is The influence of TQM and innovation towards the performance of higher education institution was simultaneously as much as 73,7%. Partially, the influence of TQM is as much as 1,6% while for innovation is 78%.This result is fit with the research conducted by Vas Prabhuet.al., concluding that there is simultaneous influence of TQM and innovation towards performance of higher education institution.

Analysis of Earning Management and Board Diversity in Companies Listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2014

Abstract: Earning management is managerial activities to influence and intervene in the financial statements. Many factors is motivated management to do earning  management and also many ways that can be used by management in making earning management. Board diversity is one factor that influence practice earning management.  Aims this  study  is  determine how to practices  the earning management  in companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange period of 2014 and examine whether there are significant differences in earning management practice related with difference in board diversity.

Population in this study is companies list on Indoensia Stock Exchange in 2014. Determination of the number of samples with the formula solvin  while determining the sampleis  using random sample. The research data is secondary data obtained from idx.statistics and the annual report.  Number of samples is 69 companies from a population of 349 companies. The method used in this research is descriptive and comparative methods. Analysis of data using simple regression to determine the discretionary accrual and test different with Anova.

The results showed that 98,55%  firms perform earning management practices in 2014 by raising and lowering profits. Proportion of firm perform earning management practices by raising profits is greater than by lowering profits. And there are no significant differences in earning management practices in companies listed on the Stock Exchange in 2014 that have woman director, woman commissioner and foreign ethnics and which are not. This information can be taken into consideration for the users of financial statements before making a decision.

Abstract:In the context of regional autonomy, local governments will have a strategic role associated with the growth and development of industries in the area. The role of government as a regulator and facilitator must be conducted properly and balanced. Cimahi city that has a lot of resources are required to develop a strategy for the sustainability of the industry.  The Objectives of this study are (1) analyzing of the industry structure Cimahi (2) Making development strategy of industrial policy direction. The methods used in this study are Input-Output Analysis and SWOT analysis. The Strategies that needed by Cimahi in order to improve its industry are 1). strengthening the seed sector: ease of licensing, support infrastructure, incentives; 2). Improving the quality of human resources tailored to key sectors; 3). Looking for a foreign investor as a partner of local entrepreneurs; 4). Repairing the supply chain to be more efficient; 5). Encouraging the growth of the industry supporting key sectors; 6). Promoting the development of the upstream industry / Raw Materials; 7). Understanding and Tax Compliance of the Rural and Urban Land and Building Owners

Abstract: Rural and Urban Land and Building Tax (PBB P2) is a taxes that are managed by the local government (district/town) and became one own source of revenue (PAD).  The need of understanding and compliance of taxpayer in tax collection, so that all taxpayers are expected to carry out its obligation under the applicable regulations.

The purpose of this research was to determine the level of understanding and Compliance Tax payer to Rural and Urban Land and Building Tax (PBB P2). PBB P2 is a tax collected each year by the local government, in accordance with Local Taxation and Charges (PDRD). Amount of tax payable has been calculated and determined by the City / Regency in Indonesia (official assessment). This causes a lack of awareness about the PBB P2 in detail, not even learn and understand the laws relating to the PBB P2, such as survey results in one of the villages in the city of Bandung. They argue that the PBB P2 is a tax that has been calculated by the local government, so it is no longer needed understanding of computation. However, the level of compliance is high enough community, namely to pay Rural and Urban Land and Building Tax (PBB P2)before maturity. Tax revenue of Rural and Urban Land and Building Tax (PBB P2) from year to year has increased, and become a source of local revenue Local Government.

Abstract: In this study the problem under study is given to employee compensation is not in accordance with the workload, responsibilities and job performance of employees insurance, health care and welfare of their employees are still lacking, System pattern clearly is not regulated information career development opportunities are not open to every employee. Respondents this study were all employees’ PT Pos Indonesia Bandung Area Y.

This research aims to analyze the impact of Compensation and Career Development toward Job Satisfication instrument used to obtain the data. To test validity, this research uses factor analysis and to test the reliability uses standard of apha 0,6. Linear regression is used as analysis method. To test the influence of variable partially uses significancy test as 5 percent, Object of this research is the official employee at PT Pos Indonesia Area Y of Bandung  with 85 peoples as population and used census with the result all population become a sample.

From the result of research that career development and compensation has good enough relationshipand simultanously to the job satisfaction.

Identification of the Superior Agricultural Food Plant Products in Bekasi District

Abstract: This research aims to identify the superior agricultural food plants products in Bekasi District and to  determine the components affecting the development/increasing the productivity of the superior agricultural product in Bekasi District..

The method used in this research is the Scoring (scaling) method, so that each Sub-District will be able to identify its own potential or superior commodity in each agricultural food plants sector in Bekasi District.

Based on the Scoring  method, it can be concluded that paddy (Oryza sativa)  is the superior product in Bekasi District which located in 13 Sub-Districts. Moreover,  its leading product is also paddy located in 10 Sub-Districts, meanwhile the Second Crop (Palawija) is the potential product in Bekasi District.

To develop the superior product in agricultural food plants sector, it is necessary to determine the development strategy by increasing the eight factors affecting the development of the product, from potential product to leading product and eventually to become the superior product. The components/aspects affecting the development/improvement of production of the superior agricultural product in Bekasi District are the raw material , labor, technology, growth, marketing, specificity of product, production and linkage.

The Effect of Accounting Information System Quality on Accounting Information Quality and its Implication on Decision Making

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of accounting information system quality on accounting information quality, and their impact in decision making. Good or bad company’s decision-making comes from accounting information quality, to generate highly qualified accounting information, it takes a good quality from accounting information system. The quality of accounting information system will affect the quality of accounting information systems, so that the quality of accounting information will enhance the decision-making process within a business entity. Accounting information system provides information for operations and for decision making (McLeod & Schell, 2006: Arens, 2013). Quality information significantly improve decision-making better, and directly increase profits for the organization, but the quality information is not automatically guarantee any decision made is better, because the decision makers are human beings, where no man is perfect (Paige Baltzan, 2012). This study wants on answer the following questions : (1) the influence of accounting information system quality on accounting information quality, and (2) the influence of accounting information quality on decision making. From the results of this literature review, showed that the accounting information systems quality will effect on accounting information quality, and there is accounting information quality to improve decision making.

Analysis of Service Quality E-Commerce and Its Effect on Customer Loyalty

Abstract: This study analysis of service quality e-commerce and its impact on customer loyalty. The development of information technology is so rapid, including the Internet have a major impact for all aspects, not least the development of business and marketing, it can be seen from the number of Internet users continues to grow rapidly with the number of Internet users reached 82 million in Fiscal Year 2013.. or about 30% of the total population in Indonesia. Its growth is supported by data from MCIT which states that the value of e-commerce transactions in 2013 reached Rp130 trillion, so it condition reflected that Indonesia as  a potential market for e-commerce.Its condition informs that Indonesia as a potential business of e-commerce. This number will grow rapidly follow the growing use of smartphones, internet penetration in Indonesia, the use of debit and credit cards, and consumer confidence to shop online. Geographically Indonesia as a archipelagic country, so e-commerce market comply with the public requirement and will be growing highly but need the availability of broadband access. The objective of this study: Analysis service quality e-commerce based on consumer perception and to analyses the influence services quality of online shoppers to customer loyalty either partially and simultaneously. The source of data consists of primary and secondary data, where the primary data came from the questioner, interview and observation in  Java with the total sample 1193 data. The type of this research is descriptive and verificative to explain the objective research. The statistic method to analyses the influence of its factors to customer loyalty will be used Multiple Regression

The results this research show dimensions of services quality e-commerce consist of reliability dimension, site security and response time dimension, assurance dimension, tangible dimension, ease of use dimension, empathy dimension, online assistance dimension  have positive perception. The variable  service quality e-commerce to customer loyalty consist of reliability dimension, site security and response time dimension, assurance dimension, tangible dimension, ease of use dimension, empathy dimension, online assistance dimension significant, except variable  lack of annoying banner.

Financial Performance of the Indonesian Regional Development Banks before and after Initial Public Offering Period between 2007 and 2015

Abstract: Since 1998, several companies in Indonesia have already been privatizing companies as a form of implementation of Good Corporate Governance and enabling the public to be part of the company. One of them is to do an Initial Public Offering in Indonesia Stock Exchange, including the regional development banks. During this addition, the performance of regional development banks, depends on how much banks collect and distribute the funds from the third party especially in the province of origin of this bank. To strengthen the capital and corporate business expansion, several regional development bank now began to IPO in Indonesia Stock Exchangestarting from BJB Bank in 2010 to Bank of Jatim 2012 of which will be adopted in this journal about its financial performance before and after the IPO in the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2001 – 2015. This analysis using financial ratio with descriptive research. The ratio is calculated from secondary data derived from the financial report issued by the company for three years before, in IPO running, and three years thereafter.And the results of the analysis of financial ratios on liquidity ratios that the banks can be good where to loan to deposit ratio, respectively 80.85% and 81.21%. The profitability ratios show that the performance of the two banks said to be as good as the ratio of income to assets in which each by 2.86% and 3.95%. And the solvency ratio also showed that they also can be good where in the capital aquedacy ratio show respectively 18.41% and 21.53% of the three financial ratios each has met the standards set by Bank Indonesia.

Abstract: In the current conditions in which all the activities of financial transactions using electronic banking is very facilitate customers to conduct any financial transactions. In Indonesia now all trading activities certainly make a transaction using an electronic banking where the most frequently used form of mobile banking, internet banking and atm. This can also be seen from the many online selling sites and other business activities that may affect the course of the economy of a country. If a country is more advanced in technology, the economy of the country can be better due to the ease of transacting in finances.

This paper aims to analyze the electronic banking as a support service improvement and sustainable economy. With the growing smooth business transaction, the financial turnaround of the country will get better and people will more easily get information about the finances that occurred in the country also knows about the economy that is underway in the country. Thus, this improves the quality of service perceived by the customer bank and its influence on the sustainable economy.

This study is a qualitative study using descriptive and analytical method is based on the study of literature. The results of this research paper is intended to see how the influence of electronic banking to an improved quality of service and in the sustainable economy, where knowledge of electronic banking can increase a country’s economy.

The Influence of Organizational Culture on Employee’s Performance at State Electricity Corporation Maintenance and Workshop Unit in Bandung

Abstract: The purpose of this research was to determine the influence of organizational culture on employee performance is influenced by the organizational culture of PT PLN (Persero) Pusharlis UWP (Maintenance And Workshop Unit) IV Bandung. The method used is descriptive verification method with case study approach, the data collection technique using a list of questions prepared by five scale option against 55 employees of PT. PLN (Persero)/State Electricity Corporation Pusharlis UWP (Maintenance And Workshop Unit) IV Bandung as respondents. Data processing techniques used is to use the analysis of product moment correlation coefficient, simple linear regression and determinant coefficient.

The results based on statistical analysis showed 97.2% variability in the performance of employees affected by organizational culture that developed in PT. PLN (Persero)/State Electricity Corporation Pusharlis UWP (Maintenance And Workshop Unit) IV Bandung, remaining at 2.8% variability of employee performance is influenced by other variables outside variables researched.

Based on these findings, the recommendations can be submitted: (1) the management emphasizes organizational culture oriented to teamwork and (2) management to provide guidance to employees about the sense of responsibility for each job assigned to him/her

Analysis of Attitudes and Behavior in Attendance on Television Advertising: The Case of Formula Milk

Abstract: Consumer attitudes and behavior towards an ad can give you an idea that the products in question can be accepted by consumers, because advertising is one of the important components of marketing in delivering product information to consumers, rent also have an important role in strengthening the brand influence on consumer attitudes and behavior. In this study, the sampling technique uses accidental sampling. With respondents are housewives who have children aged under five and never seen one on television advertising formula. This research is descriptive and verification with quantitative methods with the aim to analyze consumer attitudes and behavior of television viewers to advertising formula and analyze the most dominant variables and is closely related to the attitude of the audience on television, for consumers the results of this study can be used as a reference in selecting products for meet their needs and the factors which most dominant of an formula milk advertising on television, the company can be used to take appropriate measures in its marketing efforts for products offered can suit the needs and desires of consumers. Results using Fishbein, B ~ BI positive value (0.42). While the interpretation of the grouping factor analysis performed in two factors, the first factor called factor Stories and Fascination, consisting second factor is called a trust factor. Conclusion The results of the analysis model of attitudes Fishbein formula milk advertising to be well received in the minds of respondents, while behavioral analysis, consumers have positive attitudes, while the results of a factor analysis there were 9 variables and reduced two variables so that proceed to the analysis of factors only 7 variables.

Broadly speaking, Financial Technology is defined as a company that generates revenue through the provision of technology-based financial services. Indonesia as one of the developing countries experienced an increase in economy in the last two decades, Indonesia’s financial industry has shifted due to the fast technology growth and development. This pradigm shift poses new challenges for regulators and market participants in balancing the potential benefits of innovation with the potential risks. It takes the intervention of regulators and business actors of Financial Technology to support the development of Financial Technology without attenuating the pace of innovation.

Corporate Sustainability of Banks in Indonesia

Abstract: Corporate Sustainability is an alternative management model that is now developing from the traditional one (growth and profit maximization). Corporate growth and profitability are important in the Corporate Sustainability paradigm, but companies must also pursue social goals, which include environmental protection, social balance and economic development. Until now, not all companies in Indonesia have issued a Sustainability Report. The government is soon make a regulation that Sustainability Report is an obligation, as it is useful to protect investors especially related to environmental risk and social risk.

Banks and financial institutions are an important component of the economic system, because their function draws financial resources from the economy and redistribution to businesses seeking financial resources in order to finance new projects or projects under development. It is Interesting to see the corporate sustainability in the banking sector since there is not yet many banks are already concerned and understand about Corporate Sustainability.

The purpose of this study are (1) to discuss the development of Corporate Sustainability in Banking Industry in Indonesia ; (2) to see what factors that support corporate programs that concern the issue of sustainability bank and (3) to propose the model to test the research hypotesis empirically . Thus the bank could  aware what factors to be improved in order to support the implementation of corporate sustainability programs in their company.
